Seasonal Shipping Notice
We are beginning our yearly slow down for the holiday season. We are still accepting orders during this time but they may not ship until the new year.
*Ready to ship items will still ship within Canada*
Important Updates
U.S. shipping policies and tariffs change frequently. This section reflects our current process and will be updated as needed.
We currently hand deliver U.S. orders across the border and ship them through USPS or UPS. This means no tariffs or surprise fees!
Mail runs are currently happening approximately every 1-2 weeks. You will receive tracking once your package enters the U.S. mail system.
Certain items remain Canada only while we finalize tariff classifications. If there’s something you’re interested in, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are happy to help.
To ensure timely and reliable delivery, Canada Post shipping options are currently unavailable during the strike.
All available shipping methods are via courier and require a civic address. PO Boxes cannot be accepted at this time.
Shipping
Our current lead times are always listed at the top of the page and refer to business days only.
Ready-to-ship items are marked accordingly and usually leave within 5–7 business days. Most other pieces are made to order and are crafted within the listed lead times.
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout by the carrier based on your location and package size. Rural addresses can incur higher fees.
We always aim to offer the most reliable options with no hidden costs. If shipping looks higher than expected, feel free to reach out before ordering and we’ll happily take a look.
Depending on the current production schedule, rush orders may be possible. Please reach out before purchasing to see what we can do for you.
Everything here is handmade by one very busy set of hands, I thank you for your patience and understanding!
Shipping times are determined by your location and the shipping method selected. These are transit times only and do not include production or lead times.
Canada: typically 2–7 business days
United States: typically 3–8 business days
Extended delivery times may occur for remote or rural addresses.
International locations are limited while we work out new shipping options.
At this time, we’re unable to ship to the UK or EU.
Buyers are responsible for any taxes, duties, or fees required by their country for import and delivery.
Returns And Exchanges
We want you to love your goods.
We offer a 30-day return window on eligible items (excluding custom and personalized pieces), as long as they’re unused and in their original condition. Custom and personalized items are not eligible for return.
For full details, please see our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
If you’re unsure about sizing, color, or leather type, please reach out before ordering. We’re always happy to help you choose the best option.
Because leather is a natural material, variations in color, grain, and finish are normal and part of what makes each piece unique.
Shoot us an email at info@hammerthreads.ca with your order number and relevant info. We want to love your goods and will do our best to make things right!
The Goods
Full grain leather is, in our opinion, the best leather available. It has not been sanded or corrected and the outermost layer of the hide remains intact offering a seriously durable product.
I may have an eye for angles, every item is handmade to order. I strive to make things crafted as close to the listing photo as possible! Each product is photographed in as many natural lighting scenarios as possible to offer a true to life representation of what you will receive.
Since leather is a natural material and can vary greatly, you will find natural marks and dye variations making each item truly unique.
Unsure about a color? Grab one of our sample cards to make sure you get exactly what you're looking for.
Your goods will arrive ready to go, but a treatment of leather conditioner every 6-12 months will keep them in top shape.
Oil tanned leathers like the kodiak used for our bags, especially dark colors with black being the worst, can be more susceptible to crocking (The same oils that protect the leather can cause the dye to raise to the surface. You may experience color transfer!!)
We recommend avoiding lighter colored clothing until your item has worn in. Regular use and handling will naturally reduce this over time.
Looking for the instant vintage leather look? Pull up leather is just the ticket. Infused with oils and waxes this unique leather will appear lighter and reveal it's true color when stretched or manipulated.
Some items are subtly branded, while others are left unmarked by design, especially on smaller goods or minimalist pieces.
If branding is important to you, please reach out before ordering and we’ll do our best to accommodate when possible. Branding placement and availability may vary depending on the item and leather used.
