In the early 1900s, a fellow by the name of George Brooks designed his ideal hunting knife and contracted Marbles Arms in Gladstone, Michigan to produce it. In 1915, the Marbles Woodcraft knife was born. The design was patented and after its expiry in 1936, knife companies the world over began to reproduce it.

It's a timeless design that's incredibly practical in the outdoors. The long, sweeping belly of the edge is ideal for skinning game large and small. The slightly dropped tip is an aid when field dressing. The rounded shoulders of the spine come in handy when disjointing deer or elk. The stacked leather handle is comfortable in all positions, and the solid aluminium pommel balances the blade perfectly right at the guard.  The unique cross-hatched jimping on the spine near the guard can also be used to strike a match for getting the cookfire on the go.

Hand-forged from an antique lathe file, the edge has been flat-ground to a razors edge. The guard is made from mild steel, and the bulbous pommel is hand-ground out of a solid block of aluminium. The blade tang is peened over an inset brass washer. The handle is made from stacked leather washers.

Included with this knife is a classically styled heavy duty veg-tan leather belt sheath, secured with solid copper rivets.
